Stretch Out in a Hammock!

On July 22nd, relax in the shade and enjoy National Hammock Day. These portable, comfortable slings create excellent napping spaces no matter where you are!  Dating back thousands of years to Central America where hammocks protected people from creatures and dirt. The netted bed was introduced in Europe when explorers brought it back in the 17th century. Not long after, the hammock found its way onto naval ships, providing comfort and maximizing space.

You’ll likely have more time to hang out in your hammock if you’re using Earth-friendly gardening methods. Earth-friendly Gardening is kind to the planet. It helps reduce our carbon footprint, mitigate climate change, minimize pollutants, and protect our threatened biodiversity. As an added bonus, it also makes things easier for the gardener. You will save water, energy, and time. In short, you’ll work less while your garden lends a hand to the greater environment. In the end, relying on these practices allows you to enjoy your garden today while ensuring future generations can do the same. And that’s what sustainability is all about.  Watch this video to learn more about it.

And enjoy that nap in your hammock!
